First Week Overview

Last night I planned the different segments of the project. I will post the different sections once it is confirmed. We have also solidified a large number of interviewees to be interviewed on Thursday. Here are the approximate questions:

How long have you being playing magic?

What is your highest level of education?

How has magic affected your way of life/ mentally?

Do you think magic could be used in education? If so, how?

What is your favorite element of playing magic?

What is your greatest achievement in magic? 

If you are interested in being interviewed, we will either be doing them in Just By Chance (if we get permission), or outside. :) 

An Introduction To The Project.

During the coarse of the next few months I will be conducting a documentary film with my friend Bram. The idea of this post is to elaborate on what will the content be like, and the outline of the idea. Bram and I will analyze how the game Magic: The Gathering affects both the individual, and explore Magic as an educational tool. We will start by planning the segments and how we will present our idea. We will most likely begin by giving a brief history of the game, and stating our thesis or goal of this whole project. We cannot stress enough how this is not a tutorial on the game. We will be giving the proper amount of information about how the game actually plays out as needed. We will be interviewing players, asking questions pertaining to the affects of Magic, opinion of the community, and a few about the educational potential. If I may speak for both my partner and myself, I'd like to express my sheer excitement for this.
